Three pitch invaders halted
Senegal
vs Belgium in the
World Cup
round of 32 on Wednesday evening.
After the first hydration break, play was temporarily halted as three men stormed the pitch at the Seattle Stadium.
Security staff chased the men as they ran around the pitch, while two more were apprehended by the sidelines.
The three men who managed to go on the playing surface were eventually tackled by security and led away, allowing the match to resume.
Habib Diarra had put Senegal ahead in the 25th minute with a goal from close range.
The winner of Senegal vs Belgium will play either the United States or Bosnia and Herzegovina in the round of 16 on July 7.
