Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal want ex-Man Utd star, Tottenham's £85m bid, Rashford issue

Hello and welcome to Mirror Football's summer transfer blog for Tuesday, July 7th.

Reports are circulating that Arsenal hold an interest in Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer as a potential replacement for Ben White . The full-back has fallen out of favour behind Jurrien Timber at the Emirates Stadium, as the Gunners look to defend their Premier League title in 2026/27.

While a knee injury could complicate matters in terms of White securing an exit, Arsenal's board are thought to be scouting the market for new replacements. Former Manchester United talent Wan-Bissaka has been tipped as one of the names who could play second-fiddle to Timber for the new season, given his top-flight experience.

Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur look to continue to spend big this summer, as they pursue Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi. The Lilywhites have already splashed out £237million on Jan Paul van Hecke , Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali as the look to bolster their first-team, but it now appears the club are looking for attacking reinforcement.

Reports suggest that Roberto De Zerbi's team could offer as much as £85m to the Cherries for Kroupi Junior, who is a wanted man this summer following a standout Premier League season at the Vitality.

Marcus Rashford , meanwhile, could fail to attract interest should he fail to start England's quarter-final World Cup clash against Norway. The Manchester United forward is set to return to Old Trafford despite a fruitful loan spell with Barcelona in 2025/26.

As per the MEN, a failure for Marcus Rashford to start against Norway this weekend in the World Cup could cause issues with a move away from Manchester United this summer. The 28-year-old looks unlikely to return to Barcelona on a permanent move after the La Liga giants brought in Anthony Gordon in a £70m move, and there is talk of him being reintegrated into Michael Carrick's first team.

Caught Offside claim that Tottenham Hotspur are on the market for Bournemouth's Eli Junoir Kroupi this summer, as they continue to overhaul their first-team. The Lilywhites suffered a sub-par 17th-place finish in the Premeir League last season, and are eager to avoid a similar fate next May - spending £237m on Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, while also welcoming Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka as free agents.

Arsenal are said to be monitoring the situation of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Ben White's future at the Emirates Stadium in doubt. The Englishman has fallen out of favour for the Gunners to Jurrien Timber, and could look for the exit this summer.

While a knee injury could complicate any potential move, it is reported by Sports Mole that Arsenal are exploring potential options at right-back in the event that White does part ways with his club of five years.
