The Thunder are bringing back a vital piece of their championship core. Oklahoma City announced that it will

exercise a team option

for swingman Luguentz Dort Monday, keeping the defensive stalwart with the only NBA team he’s ever known.

Dort, a

champion with the Thunder

in 2025, is one of only four players in Oklahoma City’s history to be named All-Defensive First Team.

The 27-year-old has averaged 11.6 points per game in seven seasons with the Thunder, and he averaged 8.3 points per game last year on 38.5 percent shooting.
