Marcus Rashford says the potential kick off rescheduling for

England’s last 16 clash against Mexico

, with kick off meant to take place at 1am BST on Monday July 6. However, the match is set to be brought forward from 6pm local time to 12pm, with fears of thunderstorms in the area.

Rashford

brushed aside suggestions that is his side are set to be disadvantaged further by the changes.

“No, it doesn’t matter,” Rashford said. “It’s a game of football at the end of the day. It might be a small adjustment that we need to make, but in the end, it doesn’t change our outlook on the game and what we’re trying to do.

“Whatever happens, however the game plays out, we’re going to try to come out on top.”

The build-up to this match has been dominated by the altitude and Mexico’s record at the Estadio Azteca, a stadium they have lost just twice in 89 matches, standing at 7,220ft (2,240m) above sea level.

“In the end, it’s a game of football. We’ve all been playing football since we were kids. We’ve played in different environments, different atmospheres. Some easier than others, some terrible to play in and disgusting. It’s up to us to try and find a way to come out on top.

“That’s what the focus is, sometimes you need the player next to you and the player next to him. It’s all the same. We have to work together, work as a unit and try to bring as close to our best as we can and we’ll be fine.”
