WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Hammers this afternoon.
The 25-year-old attacker joins the East Londoners off the back of a three-year spell with their Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Aston Villa. She made 75 appearances for The Villans in all competitions. Salmon has also turned out for Bristol City in the English top flight. Additionally, the forward has featured for Manchester United, Sheffield United, Racing Louisville and Houston Dash in the past.
On the international stage, Salmon has been capped by England on four occasions. Her last cap for the Lionesses came back in 2023.
After joining West Ham United, Salmon said “I’m really excited to join West Ham United and begin this next chapter of my career.
“After the conversations I had with Rita [Guarino] and others at the Club, it just seemed like the right fit for me.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started, meeting all of my teammates and the fans, and helping West Ham push on this season.”
Salmon is West Ham United’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
