Kylian Mbappé and the
World Cup
are fast-becoming synonymous, with France's superstar willing
Les Bleus
to book their semi-final ticket against Morocco in Boston.

After a 0-0 stalemate at half-time, which included a missed penalty effort from the
Real Madrid
man before the break, Mbappé swung into action like he so often does.
The 27-year-old curled in a fantastic effort from outside of the box to break the deadlock in the 60th minute, before turning provider six minutes later to set up Ousmane Dembélé for the second.
With his latest attacking-third exploits, Mbappé became the second man in
history to score 20 goals, putting him just one behind Lionel Messi amid a race for the Golden Boot, which sees both now on eight goals this summer.

According to Opta, Mbappé is also the only player on record since 1966 to register at least 10 goal involvements in two different tournaments (2022, 2026), while also becoming the first player to be involved in 100 goals (64 goals, 36 assists) for
France
.
Though Messi may be the GOAT for many, Mbappé is fast-becoming the tournament's greatest-ever performer.
But with potential injury concerns brewing after coming off after picking up a potential knock, the push for that crown could be threatened.
For now.
