Tottenham Hotspur are set to step up their pursuit of Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi, with talks scheduled imminently between the club and the player’s representatives

Spurs have identified the 20-year-old as their next marquee addition under Roberto De Zerbi and have already laid extensive groundwork for the potential transfer.

Club officials held preliminary discussions with Kroupi’s camp back in March to assess the feasibility of a summer move.

Bournemouth are reluctant to lose their prized asset after just one season on the south coast and are demanding at least £90 million before considering a sale.

Tottenham view Kroupi as the ideal player to provide both firepower and versatility in attack, and their pursuit is in keeping with the club’s relentless summer spending spree.

and agreed a club-record £100 million fee for Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, Tottenham are sending a clear signal of their immediate ambitions after back-to-back seasons of finishing in the bottom four.
