– The Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks,

101-90

, in the

2026 NBA Summer League

at Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday.

Golden State took command of this game with a 35-19 second quarter. That 20-point halftime advantage allowed the Warriors to maintain the lead for the final 35 minutes of this 40-minute game. The Warriors shot 48.6% from the field and 50.0% from 3-point range while holding the Mavericks to 43.0% from the field and 23.7% from long range. Golden State also outrebounded Dallas, 56-36, while outscoring them in second-chance points, 14-7.

Former Michigan college teammates and national champions Lendeborg and Morez Johnson matched up for the first time in the NBA. Lendeborg and Johnson are part of Michigan’s trio of players who were drafted in the first round.

The Warriors were led by their first-round pick with Lendeborg collecting 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. LJ Cryer compiled 25 points, six rebounds and four assists. Lachlan Olbrich led the bench with 12, while second-round pick Lajae Jones had 11 points, five rebounds and 2 3-pointers.

The Mavericks were led by Johnson, generating 27 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. Ryan Nembhard had 15 points and 11 assists. John Poulakidas provided an additional 14 points.
