A few months after injuring her elbow and a single working day after suffering a slide and withdrawing from a race, Oksana Masters won gold at the Paralympics.

In the men’s sitting down cross-region dash, Andy Soule gained his very first gold medal in a photograph finish. Soule, an Army veteran, also gained bronze in South Korea in the biathlon center-distance race.
